Real Estate Paralegals, Charleston & Morgantown, W.Va.

Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC is seeking experienced Real Estate Paralegals in its Charleston and Morgantown, West Virginia offices. Qualified candidates will have at least three (3) years' title examination / abstracting experience. Must have experience preparing real estate documents such as title reports, title insurance commitments/policies, settlement statements, and deeds. Must demonstrate attention to detail; exhibit sound and accurate judgment; prioritize and plan work activities; identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; work collaboratively in a team environment; maintain confidentiality. Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate is preferred.

Minimum Skills

• Proven experience as a paralegal with a focus on real estate law; additional experience in corporate transactional work is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of UCC law, land use regulations, and relevant legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
• Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence
• Attention to detail in proofreading, transcription, and document review processes
