Spilman obtained summary judgment for our client in one of the first reverse mortgage loan cases to be litigated in West Virginia. The case had been pending in federal court for nearly two years. After getting all but one of the claims against the client dismissed, the Spilman team moved for summary judgment and also opposed plaintiff's motion for summary judgment. The federal court issued an order denying plaintiff's summary judgment motion and granting summary judgment for Spilman's client on the only remaining claim directed at it.
