Spilman Partner Hunter Named to Pro Bono Service Honor Roll

Roanoke, Va. — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that Bryce J. Hunter, Member attorney in the law firm’s Roanoke office, was named to the 2025 Pro Bono Service Honor Roll by the Virginia Access to Justice Commission in recognition of his voluntary contributions to pro bono legal services.
Hunter serves on the Virginia Board of Bar Examiners Character and Fitness Committee and the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Committee – two key roles that reflect his dedication to upholding the integrity of the legal profession and supporting the fair administration of justice across the Commonwealth.
“Pro bono work is a meaningful way to use our skills to make a direct impact in the lives of those who might not otherwise have access to legal support,” said Hunter. “I’m honored to be included among the attorneys recognized by the Commission.”
At Spilman, his practice focuses on banking and financial services law, including securities law, finance transactions, creditors’ rights, and debt restructuring. He also assists clients in real estate, tax credit financing, and franchising matters. He serves as Chair of the Tax Credits and Community Banking practice groups, and as Co-Chair of the Banking and Finance, Commercial Lending, and Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights practice groups.
