Pittsburgh — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that Member Julian E. Neiser was named to the 2025 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list and Senior Attorney Jonathon A. Deasy was named to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” list.

The objective of the Super Lawyers selection process is to create a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys from more than 70 practice areas. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. No more than 5 percent of a state's lawyers are named to the Super Lawyers list, and no more than 2.5 percent of a state’s lawyers are named to the “Rising Stars’ list. Neiser has been involved in hundreds of commercial cases and has represented a diverse range of clients, from sole proprietors to Fortune 100 companies. His practice focuses on construction and general commercial litigation.

Neiser currently serves as Chair of Spilman’s Litigation Department, Co-Chair of the Construction Practice Group, and Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Group. He also is on the AAA’s Roster of Arbitrators & Mediators.

Deasy’s primary area of practice is litigation with particular emphasis on complex commercial and construction litigation. He also assists clients involved in various transactional matters such as commercial acquisitions and contract formation.

Deasy recently had the honor of holding one of 15 spots in the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Bar Leadership Initiative, the goal of which is to aid and encourage young lawyers in developing professional and community leadership skills.
