Spilman Expands Litigation, Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy Teams

Roanoke, Va. — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that Timothy J. Lovett has joined the law firm as an associate, further enhancing the firm’s capabilities in litigation, creditors’ rights, and bankruptcy law.
Lovett’s practice focuses on litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as bankruptcy and creditors’ rights. He has extensive experience advising DIP lenders, liquidating trustees, official committees of unsecured creditors, and other creditors on various restructuring and collections matters. He also has experience representing secured and unsecured lenders in out-of-court workouts, bankruptcy cases, and state court litigation.

Lovett earned his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and his law degree, cum laude, from University of Kentucky College of Law.
Admitted to practice law in Virginia and Texas, he is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Roanoke Bar Association, Texas State Bar Association, and the Virginia Bar Association.
