Spilman Associate Hassey Appointed to Position Serving the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania

Pittsburgh — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that Anthony J.G. Hassey recently was appointed to a three-year term as a Hearing Committee Member serving the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. His term begins July 1, 2025.
At Spilman, Hassey’s practice focuses on litigation, labor and employment law, and state and federal criminal law. He handles all facets of jury trials, bench trials, oral arguments, and arbitrations. He has experience arguing appeals before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining Spilman, Hassey served as an Allegheny County Assistant Public Defender. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh and his law degree from Duquesne University.
The Disciplinary Board was created by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania to review conduct and assure compliance by all attorneys to the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct. The Board assists the Supreme Court in the licensing and discipline of attorneys in Pennsylvania. Its mission is to protect the public, maintain a high standard of integrity in the legal profession, and safeguard the reputation of the courts of Pennsylvania.
