Roanoke, Va. — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that Jinsu Sohn recently was hired as an associate attorney. Sohn previously served the firm as a paralegal.

“Jinsu has already demonstrated exceptional dedication, skill, and professionalism in his time with us as a paralegal,” said Lori D. Thompson, Member in Charge of Spilman’s Roanoke office. “We are delighted to welcome him to our practice as an attorney and look forward to the meaningful contributions he will continue to make to our clients and our firm.”

Sohn earned a B.A. in biological sciences and sociology from Vanderbilt University and an M.S. in human nutrition from Columbia University. He earned his J.D. from Washington and Lee University, where he served as Lead Articles Editor of the Washington & Lee Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice, Vol. 29.

His primary area of practice is litigation, including local government and intellectual property.
