Iskra & Ferretti Elected to New Leadership Roles at Spilman

Charleston, W.Va. — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that partners Eric W. Iskra and David P. Ferretti recently were elected to new positions on the law firm's Management Committee.
Iskra was elected as Member in Charge of Lawyer Administration, overseeing attorney development and management across the firm. He previously served as Member in Charge of Client Relations, a role in which he played a pivotal part in strengthening Spilman’s client-focused initiatives.
Ferretti was elected as Member in Charge of Lawyer Succession. In this new role, he will guide the firm’s succession planning efforts to ensure continuity and excellence in Spilman’s legal services. He previously held the position of Member in Charge of Lawyer Administration.

In addition to their new leadership roles, Iskra and Ferretti both maintain active law practices.
Iskra also serves as Chair of Spilman’s Labor and Employment Practice Group. A seasoned litigator, his practice encompasses trial work and litigation, with an emphasis on labor and employment, employment class action, wage and hour class/collective action, and other high-stakes litigation. He is a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and serves as the employer Vice Chair of the governing council of the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section. He earned his undergraduate degree from The College of William & Mary in 1991 and his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1994.
Ferretti possesses more than 35 years of experience in corporate law, health care law, and mergers and acquisitions law. He serves as Co-Chair of Spilman’s Health Care and Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Groups. He advises businesses on complex transactions, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance, among a host of other issues. His work has earned him recognition from Best Lawyers® for corporate law and mergers and acquisitions law and from Chambers USA for health care law. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in 1978 and his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1981.
