Roanoke, Va. — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that Robinson J. Hubbard has joined the law firm’s Roanoke office as Counsel, strengthening the firm’s capabilities in local government and public entity representation.

Hubbard’s primary area of practice is local government law, with particular emphasis on matters involving Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Conflict of Interests Act (COIA), and constitutional law. He brings significant experience advising cities and counties on a wide range of issues.

Prior to joining Spilman, Hubbard served in key legal roles within local governments. Most recently, he was Senior Assistant County Attorney for the County of Orange. Previously, he served as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Charlottesville.
