Mr. Garrison's primary areas of practice are health care law, commercial and labor and employment litigation, higher education, government relations, corporate governance and board advising, appellate work, and business planning and management. He is a member of the Executive Committee.

  • Drafting and promoting legislation and administrative rules before the West Virginia Legislature and Executive Branch, including testifying before various legislative committees and administrative bodies
  • Drafting and negotiating all types of contracts and agreements
  • Performing due diligence investigations in mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions (including bankruptcy)
  • Extensive mediation, trial, trial preparation, and appellate experience before federal and state courts
  • Extensive media and crisis management experience for several clients
  • Serving as General Counsel to specific hospital and higher education clients
