  • Representing oil and gas operators in connection with evolving statutory and regulatory requirements, government relations, defense of Clean Water Act violations and transactional matters
  • Representing governmental entities in eminent domain proceedings
  • Representing lenders in commercial financing transactions for projects in West Virginia, including preparation of loan documents
  • Representing land developers in loan transactions to finance the acquisition of real estate and development costs
  • Representing financial institutions in connection with interpretation and application of Federal Reserve Regulations E and CC, and NACHA Rules and Guidelines
  • Representing financial institutions in connection with consumer credit protection law litigation
  • Assisting clients with matters relating to appeals to the West Virginia Supreme Court, bankruptcy, litigation, consumer protection, and UCC issues, collection and replevin, energy and real estate
  • Served for 15 years at Columbia Gas Transmission Corp. in the areas of gas purchase contract drafting and review, gas contract pricing arbitration, eminent domain, injunction practice regarding pipeline rights of way, general litigation, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission rate and certificate practice and Chapter 11 bankruptcy
  • At One Valley Bancorp, provided counsel and guidance on day-to-day bank operations and commercial lending, advising human resources on personnel issues and general corporate matters
  • Served as in-house counsel at One Valley Bank N.A. representing the bank in connection with various bank checks and electronic transfers operating issues and regulations
