Mr. Deasy’s primary area of practice is litigation with particular emphasis on complex commercial and construction litigation. Mr. Deasy also assists clients involved in various transactional matters such as commercial acquisitions and contract formation.

  • Served as second-chair trial attorney and obtained jury verdict in a federal trademark and breach of contract action on behalf of national skill-game developer (POM of Pa., LLC v. Pennsylvania Skill Games, LLC; USDC Western District of Pa., 2:18-cv-722)
  • Served as second-chair trial attorney in a five-day AAA hearing resulting in a multi-million-dollar verdict, plus attorneys’ fees, on behalf of a local contractor involved in a commercial pipeline construction dispute
  • Representing construction industry clients in a variety of disputes, including breach of contract actions, mechanics’ lien filings, and insurance-related declaratory judgment proceedings
  • Assisting private equity firm involved in a series of commercial acquisitions through due diligence and formation of disclosure schedules, resolutions, and operating agreements
  • Representing product manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and employers at all stages of litigation up until time of trial in defense of toxic tort, products liability and premises liability claims
  • Handling general liability matters involving the defense of personal injury, property damage, and loss of business income claims
  • Conducting depositions as lead defense counsel in multidefendant actions arising out of personal injury claims for occupational lung and esophageal diseases
