Ms. Webster’s primary area of practice is litigation, with a focus on labor and employment law, medical malpractice defense, professional liability defense, and commercial litigation.

  • Defending medical providers in medical malpractice matters and board inquiries
  • Defending employers in employment law matters, including but not limited to EEOC and NLRB matters
  • Defending employers in workers’ compensation claims
  • Negotiating favorable terms, settlements and results for clients
  • Reviewing, negotiating and drafting contracts, employment agreements and other legal documents
  • Serving as trial counsel and representing clients in hearings and depositions
  • Serving as co-counsel in a medical malpractice jury trial resulting in the jury returning a defense verdict in favor of the client where the plaintiff initially sought $3 million plus interest
  • Arguing in support of a motion to dismiss in the Western District of Virginia that was ultimately granted
  • Drafting and briefing to support clients’ interests, including but not limited to two motions to dismiss before the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia, which were granted; a demurrer and memorandum, which resulted in a nonsuit against the client; a special plea and motion to dismiss, which was granted and the action dismissed with prejudice; and a motion in limine to exclude significant testimony of the plaintiff’s expert witness, which resulted in settlement and dismissal of the case
