Spilman Wins Defense Verdict for Insurance Client
Spilman was retained by a large insurer to represent its insured that was sued for negligence in an auto accident that resulted in alleged extensive and permanent injuries with significant damages. Although damages were significant, Spilman tried the case on causation. Following a highly contested trial, after only 30 minutes of deliberation, the jury returned a verdict of no causation for the alleged injuries.
