Spilman Thomas & Battle Bring Region's HR Professionals Together in Pittsburgh

September 12, 2011

Pittsburgh — The region’s leading human resources and employment law practitioners convened today at PNC Park to engage in discussions and share ideas in a progressive, peer-learning event known as SuperVision™. The popular event series, now in its fourth year, is the brainchild of Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC, a regional law firm whose labor & employment law practice has been nationally recognized for its excellence.

“We launched SuperVision four years ago as a fresh alternative to the typical HR law seminar,” explained Peter R. Rich, attorney with Spilman’s labor and employment group. “We believe attendees learn so much more in our SuperVision format by engaging with each other and sharing ideas.”

Ever-changing federal and state regulatory codes and statutes, as well as advancements in technology like social media, present challenges for all business professionals who manage employees. SuperVision™ is designed to help participants stay abreast of the latest and most important topics related to such matters.

A highlight of this year’s SuperVision™ was keynote speaker Gerald Kobell, a certified mediator who worked for the National Labor Relations Board for 42 years.

Spilman attorneys also participated in the learning sessions, joining the HR practitioners to provide valuable perspectives and insights on labor law, employment law and regulatory compliance.
