Pittsburgh – The law firm Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC recently announced that two attorneys in its Pittsburgh office were recognized by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers®.
The objective of the Super Lawyers® selection process is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys from more than 70 practice areas that can be used as a resource to assist attorneys and consumers in the search for legal counsel. Polling, research and selection are performed by Law & Politics, a publication of Key Professional Media, Inc. The research methodology includes a statewide nomination process, peer review by practice area and independent research.
James H. Joseph was named to the 2012 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® list for his work in Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights. He also recently received an AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell. Joseph is a member of the firm and advises clients in a variety of corporate transactions, with extensive experience in distressed mergers and acquisitions, commercial bankruptcy, and creditors’ rights. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and Delaware and is a standing mediator for the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Delaware.
Kevin M. Eddy, an associate with the firm, was named to the 2012 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® Rising Stars list in the area of Energy & Natural Resources. He also represents companies in the consumer finance and construction industries. In addition, Eddy is treasurer for the Young Lawyers Division of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
