Spilman's NC SuperVision Educates Employers on Modern Labor & Employment Law Issues

October 18, 2019

Greensboro, N.C. — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that business leaders from the Mid-Atlantic region gathered today for the law firm's North Carolina SuperVision™ symposium. This year's symposium focused on educating employers on cutting-edge labor and employment law topics.

"Emergency preparedness, medical marijuana, #metoo, and the gig economy. These evolving topics are buzzing around workplaces," said Jeffrey D. Patton, Member in Charge of the firm's North Carolina office. "We want to help employers figure out how to address these modern trends."

Presentation topics included federal labor law, crisis management, disability accommodations, the #metoo movement, and wage and hour law.

During the event's popular Lunch and Learn session, attendees were able to discuss other issues of interest to them with a Spilman attorney. The symposium ended with an entertaining game of "SuperVision Jeopardy" that creatively addressed some of the toughest questions relating to labor and employment law and human resources.

The SuperVision™ labor and employment event series was launched in 2007 and has become a mainstay in Spilman's approach to delivering a different law firm experience. The symposia are complimentary and are offered at various locations throughout Spilman's Mid-Atlantic footprint every year.
