Spilman Member Heiskell Jones Joins Prestigious International Association of Defense Counsel
August 29, 2019
Charleston, W.Va. — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that partner Heather Heiskell Jones recently joined the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), one of the most prestigious legal organizations in the world.

"Heather is a skillful and tenacious defense lawyer, as evidenced by the high honor of being invited to join the IADC," said Michael J. Basile, Spilman's Managing Member. "One would be hard pressed to find a lawyer more dedicated to client success than Heather."

The IADC is an invitation-only association for lawyers and insurance executives who represent corporate and insurance interests around the world. After being nominated by a current member of the organization, nominees are vetted by the IADC Membership Committee and the IADC Board of Directors before being extended an invitation. An invitation to join is a testament to the lawyer's professional accomplishments.

"I am thrilled to accept the IADC's invitation to join the organization," Heiskell Jones said. "I think connecting with other high caliber defense lawyers will be a great opportunity to develop new ideas and strategies to further benefit clients."

Heiskell Jones has vast experience representing businesses in toxic tort matters, medical monitoring and other class actions, product liability matters, employment discrimination and employer liability claims, deliberate intent claims, and insurance bad faith claims. She also is experienced handling cases in the West Virginia Business Court Division and has completed advanced mediation training with the West Virginia State Bar.

Heiskell Jones is a Fellow of the West Virginia Bar Foundation and a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
