Spilman Member Heiskell Jones Inducted Into Litigation Counsel of America
November 03, 2016
Charleston, W.Va. — The law firm Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC (Spilman) announced that Member Heather Heiskell Jones recently was inducted into the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) as a Fellow. Her selection is based on excellence, effectiveness, and accomplishment in litigation, and on superior ethical reputation.

The Litigation Counsel of America is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the Litigation Counsel of America is highly selective and by invitation only. Established as a trial and appellate lawyer honorary society reflecting the American bar in the twenty-first century, the LCA represents the best in law among its membership.

Heiskell Jones chairs Spilman’s litigation department. She has vast experience representing businesses in toxic tort matters, medical monitoring class actions, multi-media rights claims, product liability matters, employment discrimination and employer liability claims, deliberate intent claims, and insurance bad faith claims. She also is experienced handling cases in the West Virginia Business Court Division.

Heiskell Jones is a Fellow of the West Virginia Bar Foundation. She also is a member of DRI, a leading organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel.
