Spilman Attorneys Named to 2020 NC Legal Elite List

Winston-Salem, N.C. — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that two lawyers in the firm’s Triad office recently were named to Business North Carolina magazine’s 2020 Legal Elite list.

The Legal Elite selection process begins each year by sending ballots to every member of the North Carolina State Bar living in the state and asking them to answer one question: Of the Tar Heel lawyers whose work you have observed firsthand, who would you rate among the current best in these categories? The attorneys who receive the most votes then are named to the Legal Elite list. More information on the selection process can be found at

Rayford K. “Trip” Adams III was named to the Legal Elite list for bankruptcy law. He has more than 30 years of experience in this area of law, and it is his primary area of practice at Spilman. He is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, indicating the highest level of professional excellence.

Bryan G. Scott was named to the Legal Elite list for construction law. He is co-chair of Spilman’s construction law group, and his practice focuses on construction law and related litigation, as well as commercial and business litigation.
