Spilman Attorneys Named to 2019 NC Super Lawyers List

Winston-Salem, N.C. — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that four Member attorneys were recognized by Super Lawyers.

The objective of the Super Lawyers selection process is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys from more than 70 practice areas that can be used as a resource to assist attorneys and consumers in the search for legal counsel. Rayford K. "Trip" Adams III and Jeffrey D. Patton were named to the 2019 North Carolina Super Lawyers list. Carrie H. Grundmann and Bryan G. Scott were named to the 2019 North Carolina Super Lawyers "Rising Stars" list.

Adams focuses on bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and commercial disputes and workouts. He has almost forty years of experience in all aspects of bankruptcy matters.

Patton, the Member in Charge of Spilman's Winston-Salem office, focuses on trial work and complex commercial litigation, labor and employment law, class actions, trademark and patent litigation, health care law, and banking and consumer protection litigation.

Grundmann's primary area of practice is litigation with an emphasis on labor and employment law, consumer finance, and public utility and energy law.

Scott's primary areas of practice are construction law and litigation, and commercial and business litigation, including creditors' rights, banking and consumer protection litigation, insurance coverage, and intellectual property litigation.
