Spilman Attorney Leads National Service Project

March 14, 2012

Winston-Salem, N.C. – The law firm Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC announced that Stephanie U. Roberts, counsel in the firm’s Winston-Salem office, successfully led the DRI Women in the Law Committee’s annual public service project. Her efforts resulted in donations to Dress For Success Phoenix of more than $8,000 in professional clothing.

Dress For Success is an international organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women secure career positions and thrive in work and in life.

“Our Dress For Success Phoenix partners were ecstatic to see such a huge donation arrive and were super appreciative of the generosity shown by the DRI Women in the Law Committee,” Roberts reported.

Donations included more than 500 items of business interview apparel and accessories. Through the coordinated efforts of this project, more items were donated than Dress For Success Phoenix usually receives in an entire year’s time.

Roberts is admitted to practice in North and South Carolina. She received her bachelor’s degree from Emory University and her law degree from the University of Florida School of Law. Her primary area of practice is litigation, with an emphasis on construction, product liability, industrial accident and toxic tort litigation. She regularly handles class actions, mass tort litigation, multi-district litigation and complex, document-intensive matters.
