Mr. Helmick’s primary areas of practice are project and public finance, economic development, state and local tax and governmental relations.

  • Representing numerous private and governmental clients in issuance of project and fund debt, both tax-exempt and taxable

  • Negotiating business locations and expansion involving incentive application, property acquisition, tax and law use planning issues
  • Representing clients in West Virginia state and local tax matters
  • Serving private, public, and quasi-public entities as outside general counsel for corporate matters
