Regional Health System Obtains Summary Judgment in Employment Matter

Spilman obtained summary judgment on behalf of a regional health system and its executive in a lawsuit filed by a former employee. The former employee claimed that the health system and executive provided negative references to her prospective employers, which interfered with her efforts to find employment. After efficient, limited discovery and deposition of the former employee, the court granted our motions for summary judgment.
