Mr. Titus’ practice areas include general civil litigation, trucking accidents, contract disputes, personal injury and product liability defense. Mr. Titus also practices in Marcellus & Utica Shale law.

Representative Experience

  • Experienced defending local, national and global companies in all aspects of civil litigation in state and federal courts in West Virginia
  • Defended trucking companies, oilfield service companies and energy companies against wrongful death, catastrophic injury, workplace injury and other personal injury claims
  • Defended tortious interference and breach of contract claims relating to the construction of Marcellus Shale natural gas transportation pipelines and gathering systems
  • Defended engineers against professional negligence claims relating to commercial projects
  • Defended product liability claims against manufacturers of medical devices, wheelchairs, pain pumps, oxygen delivery systems, pharmaceuticals, firearms, automobiles, construction and manufacturing equipment, mining equipment and respiratory protection equipment
  • Negotiated favorable resolutions of disputes, including representing clients in formal mediation
  • Experienced in coordinating large-scale litigation with in-house corporate counsel and national counsel

Government Experience

  • Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia, prosecuting violent federal crimes, including firearms offenses and bank robbery, 2007 – 2009
  • Represented the United States in the investigation, indictment, trial and appeal of violent criminal cases in federal court
