Hawrot, Lisa M.


Ms. Hawrot’s primary areas of practice are complex domestic relations, real estate and general litigation matters.

Representative Experience
  • Sixteen years of experience in family law in West Virginia and Ohio, representing individuals in divorce and domestic relations cases involving child custody, visitation, alimony and equitable distribution
  • Representing individuals in high-asset divorce cases involving closely-held businesses, pension valuations and spousal support issues
  • Experience in complex custody cases including multi-jurisdictional issues
  • Represents clients in surrogacy matters and adoptions
  • Successfully argued twice before the WV Supreme Court enabling clients to adopt their foster child
  • Appointed as Guardian ad Litem in many courts to serve the best interests of children in contentious custody cases and abuse/neglect cases
  • Represents clients in West Virginia and Ohio  real estate matters including surface and mineral title examinations
  • Regularly works with experts to value business interests and real estate
  • Assist clients with probate and estate administration
  • Represents clients in civil litigation matters
