Ms. Coppley's primary area of practice is litigation, including toxic tort, consumer finance, labor and employment, and commercial litigation.

Representative Experience

  • Involved in all stages of litigation matters at the state and federal level, including pleadings, discovery, motions practice, and trials
  • Defending large corporations in potential class actions and individual lawsuits in the areas of complex tort and consumer finance litigation
  • Representing clients in consumer finance cases involving various state consumer protection laws, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act
  • Conducted investigations of employee complaints
  • Involved in a wide variety of employment cases, including non-compete, discrimination and harassment litigation
  • Significant experience in prosecution of state criminal law, including considerable trial experience

Government Experience

  • Former Assistant District Attorney, 21st and 22nd Prosecutorial District, 2003 - 2007, focusing on investigation and prosecution of felony drug cases
