Mr. Anderson’s primary area of practice is litigation with a focus on energy law matters.

Representative Experience
  • Advised energy companies on complex land-rights issues related to development of competing mineral interests, including analysis of correlative rights among coal, oil and gas estates
  • Assisted energy companies with full spectrum of legal issues related to operational support
  • Assisted clients with due diligence activities related to energy transactions
  • Represented energy companies in various matters of commercial and administrative litigation
  • Prepared and negotiated commercial, supply chain, construction and operations-support contracts on behalf of energy companies and their subsidiaries
  • As Assistant General Counsel for International Coal Group, managed and supported civil and administrative litigation for the company and its subsidiaries in multiple jurisdictions, including personal injury, property and commercial matters
  • Worked with senior executive leadership of International Coal Group to conduct internal investigations arising from allegations related to safety, resource mismanagement and workplace respect issues
